it doesnt matter if the song goes with the video or not. every music video out there has the same concept, but this one is different in every way.

Although not a literal translation of lyrics to screen, the video captures the emotion and message of the song extremely well. The writing on the wall, mirror, and girl sum up the meaning of the entire song to me, and the cinematography is beautiful. One of my all time favorites.

Probably the most amazing music video i have ever seen. The lyrics is not the only explanation to this video. Interpret the video how you will.

although the song has almost nothing to do with the video it is the best video ive ever seen. the way they woman writes her thoughts about love in french all over the place. Brilliant idea. this video could play to a number of DCFC songs though. What Sarah Said was a good choice

I fell in love with this video the moment I saw it. I am a longtime fan of Death Cab, and after researching about this video, I found that all the french involved in this video revolves around a game one plays with with flower petals (the american equivalent is "he loves me, he loves me not"). And as a French student, of course, I found more respect for DC!

It was a ok video but NOT for this song. The song tells a story and this video had nothing to do with it. The girl was a little weird and not the good kind. The guy just sits there while she's like "does he love me" "just a little" "at all" "ever" and then she starts cutting her leg..what's up with that. then it starts ALL OVER AGAIN! soo bad. and with that song absolutly horable. i'm very shamed. not worth your money at ALL
  • indeed the"BEST" video from "directions"

A haunting account of death. Listening to the words of the song before seeing the video, I was touched by the honesty. Saying goodbye in a hospital ICU, watching someone we love die is incomprehensible. The video has the same sort of truth with a different spin- watching someone you love die because you can't keep them from thier own self destruction is equally as painful. I was moved by he song and the video alike.

The song “What Sarah Said” was by far the most moving on this Album, I was nearly crying at the end. With the little French i know I have but this together this on the mirror: "il m'aime" — he loves me … on her hand: "un peu" — … just a little bit? painted on the wall: "beaucoup" — … a lot? on her arm: "passionément" — … passionately? cut into her leg: "a la folie" — … unto madness? on the mirror, she adds:"il m'aime … pas du tout" — he does not love me at all.
