Great production. His genius is mesmerizing. He's gone now and I've picked him up again, after I left him with Jennifer Warens tribute album, playing Bird On A Wire to death. I freakin' miss him. Thank gawd a camera followed him around a lot thru his career so we can revisit Montreal, Greece, Mt Baldi and other stays and concerts of interest.

Wow! I just purchased this, have only listened to three songs, and am blown away. This music is deep, beautiful, and is saturated with the wisdom of his long life.

First listened to Cohen because a FaceBook friend recommended his music. Then came True Detective and I had to have his music. "Slow" is awesome. I wanted the song "Nevermind" and wound up getting the entire album after sampling the songs. Very happy with his music.

Didn't like Nevermind the first time I watched the premiere. When I replayed it though, it sounded perfect. I still have hopes that the season itself achieves that wondrous level of amazement.

Thank you, Leonard Cohen, for the gift of your latest album. Your songs calm me down and lift me up. I've been listening to your music since The Songs of Leonard Cohen. When I think "he can't possibly get any better," you prove me wrong. My favorites from this album, in the order in which they appear, are Almost Like The Blues, A Street, Did I Ever Love You, My Oh My, and You Got Me Singing. Two big thumbs up!!

In this latest album from Leonard Cohen, poetry and music not only meet, but they are inextricably interwoven, as one creates, reflects, and amplifies the other. Cohen's voice is at its gravelly best, rumbling through beautiful words and lyrical rhythms. The songs are varied, brave, fierce and provocative. If you are looking for music to resonate in to whatever might be called your soul, you have found it.

Remember when so many artists had to sing 'Hallelujah'? This album seems to be a reflection of the thrill to find that great song of his (misunderstood or not). Springsteen, U2, even Dylan, have yet to hire back-up singers as impressive as Mr. Cohen hires every recording.
