This is definitely a good album. Silent Alarm alone was good, so when you add awesome remixes, then it just takes the cake. The remix of Pioneers, for example, does exactly what a remix should do. It takes the basis of the song, and is somehow able to completely modify it yet keep it the same. With the muffled "try" sound in the beginning and the incredible orchestral melody, it's almost as good as listening to the original track. Like Eating Glass does good too. There were times when I was listening to it and was thinking "don't start doing this here please don't please please please" and was satiisfied when they listened to me. The added beats in Positive Tension, the music cutting in Helicopter, the creepy whisper in Compliments, the clarification of Kele's voice in This Modern Love, and the repetition of "You are the bluest light" in Blue Light all help to make this album great.
  • It Was a Risky Move

i have to say remixing Silent Alarm was a very, very dangeorus move for Bloc Party too along with their "Intimacy" electronic decision. but i'd say they pulled it off well. i guess if Silent Alarm was made by more elctornic hands this is what it would sound like. "Like Eating Glass", "Helicopter", "Positive Tension", "Banquet", "Blue Light", "She's Hearing Voices", "This Modern Love", "The Pioneers", "Price of Gas", "Luno" and "Compliments" rmeixed are just brilliant.

Unless you don't like bloc party, you should buy this. If you do not know who Bloc Party is, you should buy the original, Silent Alrm first because it is a nearly flawless album. Bets ong is Luno remix with DFA 1979 because they are ungodly awesome. ALSO iTUNES SHOULD GET KING CRIMSON CLICK YES IF YOU AGREE
