  • Christmas Music I Want To Listen To

These cats know what they are, what they aren't, and what they're capable of--they are comfortably confident at what they do, and what they do is make beautiful music. I'm not a fan of most Christmas music, but ADVENT, VOL. II is something special, and I'll be spinning it in my ears for the whole Christmas season. Thanks.

These cats know exactly what they are, what they're not, and what they're capable of--they're comfortably confident in what they do, and what they do is make beautiful music. I'm not a fan of Christmas music as a rule, but this one is special and will be spinning in my ears all season long. Grateful for this album this Christmas season. Thanks.

This is probably only the second review I've ever written -- but this album is worth taking the time to weigh in. The Brilliance have consistently been putting out stunning albums and this is no exception. There is a lack of good, deep, beautiful Advent / Christmas music in this world and The Brilliance bring quality songwriting and incredible musicianship to the table. Buy this album, then do yourself a favor and go buy all of their other albums as well!

Can't get the song "Lift Up Your Eyes" out of my head! Love the tune and the lyrics and this group so much. It's a joy to hear them live in concert as well! This is an excellent addition to everyone's collection of Christmas music.

Advent Volume 2 is even more thoughtful than the first. The lyrics throughout each song on the album evoke a deep sense of prayerfulness. Moreover the lyrics in themselves are much like beautiful advent prayers. The poetry is complimented by exciting rhythms and the warmth of a beautiful string section. Overall it is by far the best album produced by The Brilliance so far. The band is really starting to tap into its talent, potential, and creativity. I strongly encourage this buy, and I appreciate the intentionality and the beauty behind the work of this group. Thank you all for putting meaningful prayer back into Christian music.
