  • Amazing Live Album

This album really is like seeing Jason live and being in front of the stage. It includes his best songs from his solo career and also his time in Drive By Truckers plus the Neil Young cover song. It couldn't be any better. I just hope he has a live album for his current tour in support of his brilliant album Southeastern.

Great Music and the production of this live album is fantastic...crowd noise not excessive...instruments VERY PRESENT...like standing in the first row up against the stage. Play it loud in your car.
  • Love this album.

I bought this for my husband as a birthday gift. I had never listened to Jason Isabell before. Listened to a couple of songs and fell in love with this album. My husband has lost a couple of Jason's CDs to me now. :)

This guy is truly amazing. Saw him in Idaho and it was one of the best shows I've seen. Flawless on the guitar... I love the tunings he uses so he can solo on top of the open chord sounds. Incredible. Please buy this CD.

Great rekkid. Never been to the south but Jason is a master at capturing big themes by using small details; his music transcends geography and the themes ring as true in Berkeley as in Birmingham. Goes from Americana to honky tonk to heavy grunge and it all works. Great album from a generous gifted man.

This live album is excellent, Jason and the 400 Unit sound great and a few of the tracks give them a chance to really stretch out, especiallly "Like A Hurrican", by Neil Young. Alot of the classic Isbell tunes are here, he is pretty heavy on his DBT and Here We Rest material, which is fine, because that his his strongest work. The version of "Danko/Manuel", is probably the best version out there. THe horns and guitar are excellent and haunting. The addition of horns on a few of the songs are perfect. JAson picked songs that would benefit from the horns, rather than distract the listener. They really fill out "Goddamn Lonely Love", and "Heart on a String". Overall if you are an Isbell fan this is a no brainer. And to borrow from Jason's former band mate. PLAY IT LOUD!
