I could picture these guys on stage with Willie, Merle and Waylon back in the 80's. True country sound and great songs with a story.

They take well-worn themes of love, hope, loss, and ruined expectations and tell us fresh stories through interesting lyrical phrasing with compelling rythyms and leads. The band has a great sound comprised of both traditional and contemporary elements. All-around cool and I never get tired of listening.
  • Fills the hole left by the breakup of Cross Canadian Ragweed

Been in music purgatory without anything new from CCR, but this is the best thing I have heard since the "Purple Album". Great from the first to the last note. Songs about cheatin', war, love and loss..tell me again why doesn't this get play on country radio?

This is country music. If I had money and couldn't sing, I'm sure I could make it in Nashville too. Fantastic album and God bless red dirt music.

It's bands like this that make me proud to call myself an Okie! Don't just buy a song or two, buy the whole album and enjoy!
  • Buy their new one too!

The fiddler alone is a good reason to listen to the Turnpike Troubadors. I agree with the rest of the reviews...this is REAL country music!
  • Ten stars!!!!!

No reason these guys can't go as far as they want to go. Unbelievable talent.
