  • Another mostly-talk live song from the 45 seconds i got to hear

First of all let me say that i had a pretty good time back about 15 years ago impatiently waiting for JB tickets to be sold.......and was a faithful follower of his gospel, but i had to wake up the next day and go back to work......like getting a reality slap every time i saw him rubbing my nose in the fact that HE had it made, and we could all hang out together for a few hours.......for a few bucks.....and he took his mandatory breaks at the concert......and we all got to stand around and wait, and wait.........to have the priviledge of hanging with Jimmy .......my have i outgrown that shtick........well, enough about corporate Jimmy, and on to the review........ The problem with live music is the artist making political or observation statements and dragging out the message thru a few versus of the song......this is one of them......i could care less who gave JB his first start, i wanna hear some feel-good music i can wail to!......as a response to the diehard Parrothead justifying the $1.99 price with todays $100. dinners.......bull@#$%........mc donalds and burger king, red robin, and most of the Food Networks Guy Fieres visits to Diners Drive-ins & Dives locations around this free country are under a sawbuck ($10.) each........wake up america.......Jimmys gone minstream, and remember way back when we NEVER TRUSTED ANYONE OVER 30???.......i still dont.......in about a month youll be sick of hearing the first verse......when he finally gets to it!........bye-bye Parrotheads, Satans gone kayaking!

Jimmy -- NEW music. We already own ALL your tracks. We don't want 35 re-hashes, live shows, re-mixes, etc etc etc. NEW music. We want NEW music.

It reminds me of the Jimmy from the 70's and early 80's when he wasn't popular or the cool thing. The same people that are complaining about the cost are probably drinking their $6.00 coffee's and typing on the $400 phones.

Love your songs Jimmy! But 2 bucks ? I was around when you might only clear that in tips at the Florabama !! But you will be eligible for Medicare this December so I guess you are planning ahead.

The $2 didn't bother me at all, but the missing and misplaced lyrics took a fun song and messed it up. I'm a big parrothead and am used to the differing lyrics of the live versions, but this one misses big time.

If you can't afford 1.99 dust off your old "You Had to be There" album! Have you bought Buffet tix lately? He is gettin rich, and the Parrot Heads are still buying. I personally think $1.99 is a bargain for a big old grin! I think I will buy it and have both versions.

Guess "You Had To Be There"... seriously, great song but I like the old version too much.
  • Great Rendition

Here's the deal...it's a great live rendition of a classic Buffett tune. If you want to complain about the price, don't buy it. But, if you're a true Parrothead and understand that at 10 minutes long it's actually a pretty good deal, then you will not be disappointed. Kick back and enjoy the tale...

Used to be I'd jump at anything JB but now oversaturation and over priced merchandise has really turned me off. This is an ok version of an ok song and sure, it's only $1.99 but it's more than the norm and I'm tired of it. Tired of $300 blenders and $30 flip flops. Take me back to the simple times of good music, salt on my glass and my feet in the sand, the way Margaritaville was meant to be. I'm not biting on this one and my fins are sinking low.
  • Song is Great, but the prices is not!!
