I was so happy when i heared them covering the Classic Bruce Springsteen song "I'm Going Down". Also, I love the ska-version of "holiday" They should do that more often. (Maybe speed it up a little) The rest of the album is great too, but I just like those two in particular. :)

First off, to whoever commented that VW doesn't sound as good live as on their recorded albums: I don't know what venue you saw them at but the acoustics must have been absolutely horrendous and I feel bad for you. Speaking of original albums vs. live vs. this session...auto-tune? Really? Sounds like a stale argument that lacks an understanding of sound styles. And complaints about genres and what this fits into or doesn't, dump your musical snobbery and appreciate this band as a stand alone experience that doesn't rely on predecessors or an established scene. Enough focus on the negativity though, VW wouldn't want it that way. This is a perfectly fun album and a great addition for those that loved the self-titled debut album and Contra.
  • A sad testament to the superficiality of the modern music industry

I like Vampire Weekend. Really, I do, but you know what? It's ok. Just ok. The New stuff is good I'll say that, but I frankly was horrified by the old songs that they did again. After listening to Holiday, I promptly went and screamed into a pillow. Please do not get me started on A-Punk. As good as Vampire Weekend is, this iTunes session shows how superficial and auto-tuned all our music is. Try putting some of these songs here up to a tuner and see how flat it is without autotune. I'm done ranting now. Thank you
