I don't know why everyone is bashing on Kurt he did Vocals for DGD self titled and Happiness. Very good albums (in my opinion I love them all) but this live album is hard to listen to.. He does a OK job with the Happiness songs Jonny Craig only comes out on Lemon Meringue Tie, and the DGD self tittle songs are horrible (Vox. Wise) the guitars are good. Over all you get what you pay for. Why do you think its the cheap :P After listening to it for Months I've grown to love this live album haha

First off let me give you the track list and who's singing on what. Just to be clear for people who can't tell :) Carl Barker: Kurt, (clean) Will (screams) Lemon Meringue Tie: Kurt, Johnny, (clean) and Jon (screams) Tree Village: Kurt, Will NASA: Kurt, Will I'm Down With Browntown: Kurt, Will Uneasy Hearts: Kurt, Jon Don't Tell Dave: Kurt, Will? Alex English: Kurt, Jon. (Correct me if I'm wrong. This is from listening to the previews.) Ok now that's out of the way, this EP is pretty bad. But don't hate just Kurt. The band overall bombed most of the songs. They were off tempo and there were clear flaws made numerous times in each song. Kurt's vocals are really good and are actually a lot better in his new band (A Lot Like Birds) and his solo stuff. I'm really happy Johnny and Jon both made appearances on this EP. Even though I'm not a huge Johnny Craig fan. They both did great on the song(s) they were feature in. All and all, this EP overall was pretty bad, BUT. They have definitely matured in there sound big time. Don't judge by this EP. The new singer Tilian and Jon really made a huge change in the sound with DGDs new album and live performances. In my opinion, it seems they are going back to the bands earlier work and bringing back that post-hardcore sound and less of the the jazz-funkish fusion that was in Happiness and Downtown Battle Mountain 2. In conclusion, This EP bombed but they've improved. See them live soon and buy their new music and see for yourself :)

Yes I admit it isn't the best but I'm such a huge fan I don't care that its not the best. Nothing's perfect there's always room for improvement Plus I prefer kurt over jonny
  • That's not just Kurt on "Lemon Merengue..."

Jonny Craig came up and sang that with them. You can tell that he's on that performance with Kurt as well. It's live album is sloppy, but still DGD!
  • I like it

Kurt was better live with a lot like birds and Jonny either gives you a good or bad performance. Tillian was pretty good at both of their spots when i saw them. This album doesn't do the band much justice
  • Eh....

This album is pretty bad. It really doesn't do them justice. I saw them at Warped last year and they sounded great. I mean, this album would sound great if you removed Kurt's vocals. >.> Sorry, but it's true.
  • KURT!!!! STOP TRYING TO SING LIKE JONNY, MAN!!!

you can't sing as it is, and then you try and take on Lemon Meringue Tie. i wouldn't suggest this album to anyone, especially after seeing such a great performance with Jonny this year at Warped Tour.
