Great album from top to bottom. Not as joyously infectious as Graceland, but a more contemplative, deeper experience. Beautiful, mournful melodies, and complex, persistent percussion combine with Simon's NYC minor 9th folk sound, for one more winning entry from PS.

This is Paul's finest album. The fact that it's a follow-up to the monumental Graceland makes it an even greater achievement.

I am Compelled to write a review about this album, specifically, the percussion on this album. Amazing. Just spectacular percussion that really compliments the song, doesn't overpower the song, it is just right. Outstanding percussion on this album.

Every time I listen, especially after months or years, these songs are revelatory. "Who says 'my life's so common it disappears?'" Gives one hope for humanity that these songs- all of his songs- even exist.

I recently discovered Paul Simon. I started with Live at Central Park with Garfunkel and moved through Graceland and his own live at Central Park album to Rhythm of the Saints. This album slows my heart and eases my blood pressure. I think back to every tropical vacation I have ever been on and I smile as my eyes close and I fall asleep and dream good dreams. I love this album. It helps me relax and dream. I know how cheesy that sounds, but seriously buy this album!

I lost my CD of this album. I think I had a tape of it too. So I looked at just buying a few of my favorite individual songs. Problem is, the whole album is great and its one of those albums that you just put on and listen from beginning to end. It all works together. One song out by itself will never be the same as listening to it as part of the album.
