When this dropped initially in 2010 I didn't appreciate the intricacies of the sound, lyrics, and duets. I expected the INK from The Burning. Watching them through the last near decade sometimes losing interest, I see their about progression and challenge. Guys I hear hate on them were still at their show at Warped Tour. If anyone is looking for songs like their old ep check out their Predator EP. Keep it burn'n.

This band oozes talent, and it's hard to read reviews on this page about them sounding like any other band. Ice Nine Kills delivers a powerful stream of lyrics with this album, and completely demolishes any arguments that they're just a typical genericore band. The lead vocalist, Spencer Charnas, belts out notes with a range that reminds me of the vocal styles of Shawn Milke of Alesana, or Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco. And the best part? The heavy vocals are just as strong, hitting the same level of range, while remaining consistent at live shows. The guitar work is heavenly, with perfect cooperation between all guitarists. Once again I must draw a comparison to the band Alesana, who also runs the same setup. Overall, the most important thing to me, as far as bands go, is a bands lyrical content, and the portrayal of themselves as a functioning group of musicians, blending together all of their hopes, fears, and artistic talent. Ice Nine Kills displays their originality with every sound you'll hear on this album. Also, they're just a killer band when you hear them live. 5 out of 5 was an easy rating for this band.

Every song is literally great. You can sit down and listen to the entire album and each song is unique and catchy. The talent level with the intricute guitars and the effort these guys have to make every song perfect is unlike most any other band especially in this genre. INK!

It seems ICE NINE KILLS, has lost their originality with this CD, now they sound like every other band in the screamo genera, though the CD itself is amazing, I prefer their old music, the remake on here doesn't even sound as good as the old one if you ask me. I am not looking forward to a new CD if it also sounds like this one, now if the CD has a throw back and sounds like some of their older songs, I would love it.

I've been listening to INK since Last Chance to Make Amends, and I've always felt they were one of the more unique bands out there. I enjoyed this album like I would enjoy any kind of typical hardcore/screamo/post-hardcore/whatever you call it album-it's nice to listen to when you're in the mood, but in the end you can find the same sound and style in a number of other bands. I liked that they showed a whole new side of INK, but I wish they had kept what made them original instead of making another typical album. Still love INK though, and I'm looking forward to their future stuff.

"Only One" by Yellowcard and "Big Wiggly Style" by The Devil Wears Prada fornicated and produced the illegitimate love-track which they named "The People Under the Stairs," and it is fantastic...
