Just when i thought they couldnt possibly come close to living up to their previous release "Animosity" they prove me wrong. Nobody blends the heavy smashing riffs with amazing melodies and chorus's like Sevendust.. and this album is the absolute perfect example. This album slams with heavy hitters like 'Enemy' and 'Face to Face' yet can take it down a notch without missing a beat with beautiful pieces like 'Skeleton Song', 'Honesty', and 'Burned Out' while still retaining their signature sound and making it flow into one great and amazing record. This album is fantastic front to back. no fillers. Vintage Sevendust.

As a huge 7D fan, and after the live shows and keeping up with these guys, I still call this one of their best. I love the new stuff as well, but there's something about the sound of this album.
  • Better than Home

Most SevenDust fans will tell you Home is the band's best album. And while it is truly a great album, it doesn't have near the creativity of this album. Yes it's still SevenDust at their usual formula but this album sees them really expanding with their melody from Home. And that makes this album more special than any other. To me, this is, and will always be their most unique and creative album. Yes Home is a heavier album but this album still packs enough of a punch to hold its own against Home. Buy this album and you won't regret it. 7 Dust for life.

I would highly recommend this band, they can easily do soft rock and they can do heavy, its just perfect

This is by far one of their strongest creations and imo it captures the essence of 7D. If you have ever dangled your toes over the edge and peered into the abyss (metaphor) then you'll connect with the lyrics. I love how they can do a song like Skeleton Song and then follow it up with Disgrace and it all fits. Thanks for this gift 7D!!!

Another great Sevendust album. Only song I didn't love is Disease but I still like it, but all the other songs are definitely to be loved. Who cares if this is their softest album it still rocks. Also, get the track Rain, a B-side to this album which happens to be on their Best Of CD.
  • Truly a masterpiece

As Butch Walker's production shines here, Sevendust truly created their magnum opus. This album may be hands-down one of the best heavy albums ever created. Sevendust craftily blend heaviness with just the right dose of melody, and the result is truly breathtaking. Lajon Witherspoon's voice is at its absolute finest here, and the band sounds as good as it ever has before or after. This has been and will remain one of my top ten albums of all time. Such a masterpiece.

Sevendust since their first album have torn through the roof of music. Lajons vocals have always been a favorite of mine. It's not the greatest voice, it's one of the greatest, but it's one that sticks out above all others. Every note that is sung, you're able to feel every emotion he utters out. Both hard and soft, usually at the same time in most of his songs, is what makes his great. Not many rockers have ever achieved that level. Lyrically the music is beautiful. I enjoy every album, every song these guys put out. Live again personally is my favorite song, only because it shows what Lajons voice is capable of. I wish these guys got more recognition from the industries, but I guess theyre too obsessed with Lady Gaga and Justin Gayber's computerized voices. We could use more bands like this nowadays, that are original, and that have a purpose to further the rock industry in a positive way. BUY THIS ALBUM, SUPPORT REAL ROCK MUSIC!
