I got into Seals & Crofts a bit later on in their career but not much later... All that aside I must say that "Diamond Girl" "Summer Breeze" & this album "I'll Play For You" are the very best of this Duo... I enjoyed this album as much as the other two classic's... If anybody is looking to get into Seals & Crofts they can't go wrong with this album.... get it trust me you won't be disappointed!

Of all of the Seals and Croft musical efforts Wayland The Rabbit is my favorite. It still, after all of these years, brings tears to my eyes.

I was honored to meet Dash in 2006 and spoke with him about some of the songs. Wayland the Rabbit is deep and one of my favorites. It was written for Jim Seals father. This song in particular is very meaningful.

I'll Play for You and Castles in the Sand are in the Greatest Hits Record and really are quite different from the rest of the record. Golden Rainbow has a good 70's sound to it and Dash handles most of the vocals. Wayland the Rabbit is excellent in terms of content. Such pointed and inspirational lyrics that show a young boy teaching his dad about the world. Absolutely excellent song that will stay with me forever. Freaks Fret is a really good instrumental and Ugly City is a nice story about wanting to get away from all the fame to live a normal life again. Love this record.
