Lightnin' Malcolm has been a family friend of ours for years here in Southeast Kansas. So glad he was able to make it big. We love you man!

I just saw these guys yesterday at the Mississippi Valley Bluesfest in Davenport, Iowa. A majority of the bands were staying at The Lodge hotel, where I too stayed over the course of the Bluesfest. I was enjoying a cigarette outside to the entrance to the hotel when I saw the Lightnin' Malcolm walk outside and await the shuttle bus. At this time I'd no idea he was a performing musician, and as I listened to him speak with a heavy, deep southern accent, I mumbled to myself, "Idiot wigger." My misaligned cynicism was utterly and horribly wrong. Later that day, at the festival, I caught the end of their set and was completely blown away by "So Much Love". Reminiscent of The Black Keys (with more blues, of course), these guys had enough energy to power New York City. Just completely amazing. I highly recommend this promising band as I can gaurantee you'll see much, much more of them in the future.

These two guys are amazing live. My wife and I saw them for the second time in a small Minneapolis Bar called Palmer's this past weekend. So much amazing music from only two guys. Cedric, we miss your granddaddy, but he would be so proud of you. Note to iTunes users: Buy this album!!!!

A searing, guitar drenched blues deconstruction. Imagine the raw, groove-driven sound of the delta, cranked through overdriven amplifiers by a pair of guitar wizards. In other words, this is great stuff! Give "So Much Love" a listen and you will be hooked.
