While this album didn’t burn the charts, it did show us 2 things. The 1st being we were losing a Pop defining duo of the 1980’s and second was that we hadn’t seen anything yet as one of the dashing duo was about to do great things. You have to listen to the pain & longing in “A Different Corner”, as you can feel it with George as he sings it. No 80’s collection would be complete without “I’m Your Man”. To those casual listeners I think you’ll find this album has something that makes you want to listen. All in all it’s a good listen and you won’t be disappointed, other than this was their last album and that the future superstar of the duo left us way too soon. Enjoy!

I have to give this 5 stars. It was my first tape to go with my first off-brand walkman for my 10th birthday, bought at the brand-new Target or maybe at Sam Goody or The Wherehouse. I probably wore it out from listening to it nonstop on auto-reverse. I hadn't even though of this album in maybe 25 years, but I remember having tweeny heartbreak at all the songs, especially "A Different Corner". So very sad I never got to see the legend while he was alive. RIP forever George Michael, you were my first and best queer-crush and big-haired fashion icon.

Honestly I only got this album for "Last Christmas." But most recently I started to listing to the whole CD and it's fantastic. My favorite tracks are "Last Christmas", "The Edge of Heaven" and espically "Blue." "Blue" is one of the most underrated George Michael songs, but it's such fantastic catchy tune that puts a smile on my face. Anyway I would recommend getting the whole album because it's just a great listen.

The last album of the homo-erotic Wham! duo, George Michael will become the crucial part of the duo after this record. Not as iconic as their breakthrough, "Make It Big" but holds on quite well. "The Edge of Heaven" and "I'm Your Man" where mild hits in 1986, when another homo-erotic British duo, the Pet Shop Boys, were just warming up. You want to download this album however, for George Michael's other Christmas megahit (the other being Band Aid's "Do They Know Is Christmas?") "Last Christmas". That track alone is worth the download. You know you'll be playing it every year around the holidays. Worth a download. Give it a shot.
