This was an alright album I guess. I think I just feel more inspired and uplifted by the US Army Band. I found this album while searching for Army Band music. If you're into this sort of thing I guess it would be alright. If you want a military band album that celebrates the glory of god try One Nation Under God with performances by a various selections of military bands. It even has Fred Thompson reciting the pledge of allegiance.

It was easy to see how much Randy and Phil enjoy working together. Phil's guitar playing was awesome and as usual Randy's humor and brilliant songwriting are a treat. Spirit Walk is one of my favorite Christian songs and it's awesome here. I am about Randy's age but I only came to Christ 3 years ago. Shortly after I was baptized I went to church and we had a featured singer (Randy) for our worship time. I had no idea how good Christian music could be. I've been a fan ever since and I've been fortunate to see him live 4 times. Randy was raised a half-hour north of our church and when he comes to town to visit his parents he usually comes down and sings for us.

My wife and I were at this concert in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. This was a great time, these two together are so funny. We were so blessed to see how amazing Phil is on the guitar. You will not be disappointed by this CD.

I saw Keaggy and Stonehill in concert last night in Detriot, and am going to buy this album. This was the first time I had heard more than one song from either of them, and I was amazed. Their friendly banter combined with mind-blowing acoustic playing and lyrics make them a must see. Congratulations, Phil, on making it into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Randy, better luck next year. Buy this album.

I’ve been privileged to witness Phil Keaggy and Randy Stonehill in concert on numerous occasions. Together Live brings both of these musicians into your living room via this professionally done video. Separately, Phil and Randy are funny. Together they are down-right hilarious and this is mostly born out in the out-takes and the interview section of this DVD. Phil and Randy both do solo performances and a section as a duet so it’s like three concerts in one. Phil does many of the tunes that are standards for a Keaggy show like Shades Of Green, Let Everything Else Go and Salvation Army Band. Randy is typically funny while playing bluesy folk songs like Shut De Do. The Keaggy/Stonehill harmonies are perfect as well. Also, despite Keaggy’s not liking cameras he is much looser in this video than he was in his first one, Philly Live. This is a very nice video DVD with lots of nice close-ups of the musicians and their guitar work. You will also get a good feeling for how Keaggy uses his equipment during a live show. There are a few caveats, though. Firstly, you cannot skip the intro. This is annoying after one has watched the video more than a few times. Secondly, the DVD responds slowly to commands from the remote. When I first played the DVD I found myself hitting the enter button multiple times. Just hit the button once and your player will respond. Lastly, I don’t like audience shots and there are lots of them in this video. Especially annoying are the goofy looking white people clapping and gyrating out of rhythm to the music. These are the reasons I gave the video four stars instead of five.
