Lauren has crazy range and wonderful vocals. All the rhyming isn’t for me, also fewer words in her addressing the crowd would say more. Unfortunately I’m deleting the album, because there’s to much talking. I would have loved more singing.

Because she didn’t create this in a traditional music sense people downplayed this CD Her words are magical and if done with a orchestra or studio musicians would have been just as good as “ Miseducation “

So, I never listened to this album because I wanted to watch the performance. For some reason, I listened to it today (10/14/17). I couldn't turn it off! I learned so much about Lauryn as a person and woman that I never knew (or even knew was possible to know about her). She shared her experiences of tragedies we all experienced (Amadou Diallo) and her insecurities of sharing her work with the world. She had grown so much from experiencing life until this work was recorded (2002). Today, I want to experience her growth. It's 15 years later! All that said, Lauryn poured her soul into this work as she shared her experiences with the audience. I always wanted see her live to but never pursued the opportunity. I must say a few of the tracks in this body of work have very similar melodies but that's ok. Who am I to judge the creative expressions of another. I connected with this music as if it were written for me in this time of my life. Thank you, Lauryn! I'm coming to see you!

Wow!!!! Love it! Truth bombs about the world in which we live (prison planet). Raw, uncut, beautiful, spiritual and real honest. Love her! A true soldier in God's army. 💖

Once again, Lauryn Hill did it. From the Misseducation of Lauryn Hill to this album, I can tell my children that if they wanna know me and my struggles as an individual and not their mother... Listen to those two albums and it will explain it all of who I am as a person. "Killing me softly" with your song, is the best way I could describe what you've done to me Lauryn Hill!! You have the ability to touch my heart to its core! Thank God for the music genius he blessed us with! SIMPLY AMAZING!

Check out "I Get Out." The lyrics are genius and it expresses the frustration we all feel at times. Her voice sounds raw from a technical point of view; you can tell she has not been in the studio for some time (like comparing Cat Stevens/ Yusuf Islam during the height of his career and later to his voice post semi retirement). That said, her talent comes through loud and clear! If you like Michael Franti and Tracy Chapman's politically laced songs and brilliant lyrics, you will love this song! I do like the other songs but this song I always gravitate toward this so song.ng.

Honest, thoughtful, inspiring and unique. To fans of “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” buy this album. Of course, do not expect the same genre of music as Ms. Hill has evolved here. And although I admit the musical aspect was superior in her 1998 debut, “Unplugged” has wiser and more complex lyrical content. If you know what’s good, don’t listen to the critics and enlighten yourself.
