Incredible live blues album from one of the greats. Doesn’t get better than this. EC doesn’t disappoint! Soaring solos and blues wrenched riffs….A+++

Like the Stones, the Allmans, Leon Russell, Savoy Brown and many others, Clapton is a real bluesman who branches out. Seriously, if you don't like E.C. playing the blues then you must not like Layla (and Other Assorted Love Songs). In fact, maybe because it was recorded nearly 40 years ago, this is the first E.C. album where I've bought the whole thing after one listen in quite a while, even though I could do without 2 or 3 songs,

As a 48 year fan of this man’s music, there is no doubt that all of his Blues virtuoso skills were on display during this phase of his life. I’ve heard all the guitar greats and though some truly are magnificent, Clapton is the GOAT. He’s other worldly. If you have an interest in understanding Blues guitar, you can frankly spend a lifetime breaking down this one album and even then you won’t get all that it has to offer. Make your kids listen as well. Just might change their perception of what music can be when played to its fullest potential.

This is certainly my favorite period in Clapton’s solo career. From the Cradle is an amazing album and to finally have a live album from that period is truly remarkable.
  • Ugh how awful

Uninspired and lifeless. Don’t waste a penny.
  • Fabulous!

Eric is true to all his blues heroes, and plays it as the blues should be. Even with that he is an accomplished blues singer!
  • Still the best

Yeah, he says and does a LOT of dumb stuff. But Clapton can play the guitar backwards and forwards while everybody is just strapping theirs on. The sample tracks are awesome. I can't wait for the whole thing. As for the guy that says Clapton has only released "four or five Blues albums" and "needs to stop"....what planet are you on? You think a guy who actually quit the Yardbirds because he thought they weren't Blues enough for him, has released more than one album covering nothing but Blues records and hosts an annual Blues festival is suddenly going to become a Pop singer? Go sit down somewhere.

I saw this tour in Memphis. Clapton performing blues/rock is the acorn of today’s guitar.

How many blues albums has Eric released, Four or five? Don't get me wrong I've always been a big dan of his, going back to his time in The Yardbirds, John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, etc. But he needs to stop releasing this blues stuff. I'd prefer he release new material just not blues stuff.
