If you know the story and have read the books this score fits right in providing a story within notes pitches dramatic music that makes you feel that you are a spectator to all the change but also at the same time evoking ties to the emotions and refraction that the story tells. It’s really good for establishing world building vibes.
Disappointed with the amount of material

I expected some reduction in duration but
1h 14min from a 3 1/2 hour movie left a disappointing amount of my favorite songs.
I listen to the entire album and it feels like a series of teasers of each of songs I thought I was paying for.
Also, I was defiantly hoping for a little more of armada in the soundtrack album.
Awesome music.

Was absolutely essential to the movie being so good
The review from “James Bond” says it all

This score excels in every way as a sound-track. The people rating it as a stand alone music album should have their reviews deleted.
Arg, should have researched

'Paul's Dream', one of the most distinctive and memorable tracks from the trailer and movie, isn't included on the 'soundtrack'. Thanks a lot for double dipping.
Fantastic

This soundtrack was in perfect harmony with the cinematography of this glorious film. I am a fan
Really boring

Much less interesting than other album. It’s really boring. You would not listen to this while reading, driving, or doing some painting staff. It would make you sleepy. Don’t buy it, unless it’s only for collection purposes.
Ok

Great but one tiny flaw

Love the soundtrack and it sounds amazing, but the previews don’t really highlight the best points of the song, iTunes please fix
Exhilarating!

When I first heard this score I was underwhelmed (admittedly, I didn’t give much of a chance). Then I watched the film (which was breathtaking) and listened to the score again. And again. And again. Without doubt, this is one of Zimmer’s best and most sweeping scores to date. It’s filled with so many details and subtle melodies, unique sounds and grand themes. Truthfully, though, I’m not a big fan of the loud female vocalist, but everything else is exceptional. On a side note (no pun intended), there are at least four songs I can’t stop listening to and really help me get wired at the gym.
