It’s been cool watching the evolution of Less Than Jake over the years. There have been ups and downs, but the band manages to persevere, maintain their unique identity and still expand their musical arsenal and talents. Silver Linings is a great album that I find myself appreciating the more I listen to it. I feel that the songwriting, production, vocals and music of this band keeps getting better with each album. I like the whole thing, but my favorite tracks at the moment would be: The Test, Keep On Chasing, Move, The High Cost of Low Living, Dear Me, and So Much Less.

While most of the bands I've loved for a long time are starting to / continuing to disappoint, LTJ puts out another amazing album. Vocals sound better than ever, great melodies, and not repetitive. Great album front to back- not enough albums you can play all the way through these days. Just what I needed right now too. Thanks guys! Keep it up!

Less Than Jake is what we have been missing for the past 10 years, finally a good punk ska record

Typically I have to listen to new music several times before I decide whether I like it or not. With Silver Linings there were several tracks that I immediately loved and found myself singing. Lie to Me, Keep on Chasing, Dear Me, Anytime and Anywhere and more. So good!
  • Less than Jake pulls through with a great CD in difficult times

While tamer than 20-25 years ago, LTJ keeps pulling through with great music. The single, Lie To Me, was a great introduction to this album. During difficult times, LTJ pulled through with a great album that’ll lift and fan’s spirits. Anytime and Anywhere is the fastest song on the cd, and doesn’t really bang like their old punky stuff (See: Johnny Quest Thinks We’re Sellouts), but still reminds us they’re part punk rock. King of the Downside and Lost at Home are the swingy, ska-y tunes on the cd and remind us the band is more than pop-punk. All in all, LTJ provides us a boost with great music in tough times with “Silver Linings.” 2020 has been quite a rollercoaster and the drama’s not over yet, but at least with a great soundtrack we can send the year packing.
