  • Just like every other modern soundtrack

Who sits down and activly listens to modern soundtracks for action movies? It's all thumpy, bassey, slow moving mood music with no memerable anything. Remember the good old days when you could hum along to a action soundtrack? Old James Bond movies, The Great Escape, Bullitt, Kelly's Heros to name a few. Looks like composers just stick a microphone into a building's noisey HVAC system, slow down the speed, add some strings, put in some Japanese druming and presto, a soundtrack. I think there were about two songs on this soundtrack that had some kind of melody.
