Reviews

  • Not STP

I’m not saying you won’t like the album, but if you’re looking for ANYTHING that resembles STP of old, this isn’t it. Every song is a mellow acoustic ballad. I liked 1 song and that was about it. If you just listen to the samples they all start to sound the same. I know that Scott was just the voice and lyrics, so I don’t know what the DeLeo’s are going through right now, but to me, it’s pretty boring.

Way far away from the Butterfly Album.

There's no in between...you either like this album for the musical value it is or you hate it because it is not what you were expecting from STP. Honestly, recording and mastering an acoustic album like this takes a lot more talent. You can't hide poor vocals or engineering behind screaming guitar rifts. The vinyl version on a really good system sounds pretty good...

STP are still making relevant music & still a band with a purpose, I’m a very happy listener with STP’s current music.
  • Worst Album of them all..

I like Jeff in the band and he is a good fit with their sound. However this album is boring and lacks just about anything likable. I gave it two full spins and then deleted the album. Loved the previous album though.

This album reminds me of the MTV music special these guys did that played on Palladia all the time. One of the greatest things about these guys is their music palate and tastes always were a confluence of great soft stuff like this. It goes back to corre, and Scott did it well, and I’m really happy Jeff does too. I’m glad they’re turning the page. It’s been 4 years and Jeff just fits, and the guys are enjoying the music. It’s a great addition to the catalogue

It’s refreshing when a band has the courage to display their soul for all, while KNOWING some of their fans would poo poo it. Their last album proved Jeff Gutt had ample range & vocal style to carry on the STP tradition. Now we are able to enjoy the same studio excellence moving in another gear. Sit back & enjoy the ride!
  • Time to hang it up.

This band is long past due for calling it a day. No Weiland, no STP. Might I also add how boring this sounds?
  • No Scott No STP

They may as well change their name! Album sounds terrible and the new guy can’t sing. Dumbest decision was to get rid of Scott back in the day. (May he RIP) This literally sounds nothing like STP. You may as well change your name to Stone Fake Pilots. The original died when Scott was kicked out.

It’s great to hear the guys playing again. The loss of Scott is such a tragedy. The guys are doing him justice. It’s also great to hear Ron Burgundy has work with his Jazz Flute!
