Every song is very listenable with at least 6 REALLY awesome tracks specifically
Like a breath of fresh air
Weezer has never been predicable from album to album and certainly this one was no exception. It's more of a tribute to 80's rock weaved into their songs than a tribute to Eddie Van Halen, even though the opening guitar lick brings Eruption to mind. A good number of high energy songs remind me of their blue album. The sound is refreshing and what a great tribute to a legendary guitarist and band.
Great album, lots of Guitar, LOTS OF GUITAR!
A lot of fun
Lots of familiar guitar licks(Metallica, Ozzy and of course Van Halen), but still Weezer at its heart. I found this to be a lot of fun, contrasting the more somber OK Human. Not their greatest, but all the year old pre reviews are ridiculous.
this is one of my favorite albums!! great album!!
it has the old weezer sound and i love it!! also has a great price!! no problems!! i highly recommend it!!
Blazing 80’s-90’s Weezer
This is the album we have been needing for 2021. It has all the Van Halen, Iron Maiden and a pinch of Nirvana with the Weezer feels all over it. Hero and end of the game were great singles and need some of that, good ones are gone and precious metal girl are straight Weezer classics. The surprise songs to me were 1 More HIT (Iron Maiden) and Blue Dream (Ozzy) influenced. These two songs I had to repeat to dive into the guitar. Such and great feel good yet deep album. Thank you Weezer!
Sounds like 1970s Boston meets 2000s pop rock sans guitar solos. Missing Ric Ocasek’s touch. Bring back the “Hash Pipe” era.
Not Good, Not Bad
Refreshing to here them revert back to their original sound, but the songs blend together after a couple tracks and the lyrics are a bit corny.
Waited all this time for thirty minutes
I’m sorry. Given all the time and money they have, they could’ve recorded two albums easy in the time it took for them to delay a 30 minute album for a year after they already released the single.
Pretty freaking good album
So many of the reviews were written before this album even came out so I’ll give an ACTUAL review. If you are into hard rock albums from the 70s and 80s this is your album. It’s not perfect but it has some very catchy tunes and some serious headbangers. One of my favorite weeper projects.
