  • Good Album

If you are looking for Dokken, you are not really going to find it here. After listening to this album a few times, you get flavors of Lynch Mob with Robert Mason and Lynch Mob with Oni Logan. In there is some Lynch/Pilson and some Souls of We. It is not a throw back to the 80's. Robert Mason's voice is as strong as ever and Pilson's bass stands out more than it ever did with Dokken and Pilson is a great back up to Mason. George could have been a little more aggressive, but solid none the less. Mick blends well as usual and shows us that he and Pilson are a match made in heaven. It may take a few listens, but this is a pretty solid album start to finish.

So I previously reviewed this record when it first came out and didn’t give it a chance. I went back and listened to the first 2 Lynch Mob records and then this record a few times and it fits in really well. My opinion has completely changed. This is a great record, it just may take a couple listens to get into it.
  • Solid effort.

I will say that the first song, Leap Of Faith didnt leap out at me, but after listneing to the album 10 times now, it has grown on me and is a solid effort. Rumor had it that after the songs were written, George and Mick reached out to Don to ask if he wanted this to be a Dokken album, in which he declined. Too Bad. This is a solid album and Don would have put a different spin on it. However, Mason's voice is much stronger than Don's in his old age and he performs wonderfully here. Don has lost his ability to carry a tune in harmonies anymore. At least from what I have heard of him in the past few years. I really enjoy this album, its a cross of LynchMob and Dokken. It doesnt break any new mold, but it does sound good.

Melodic but, Heavy Guitars and Drums. Dokken and Lynch Mob had a baby born with this Album. Jeff Pilson and Mick Brown remain in outstanding shape!! Drums are hard and Pilson bass lines are creative. Pilson voice is superb. Why talking about the past?? Mason is a super beast on vocals and the perfect match for this successful musical formula. They are keeping rock alive. I only wish that George Lynch solos were as intense as it was, that is my only complaint. I feel like George is holding and not letting the solos to be more aggressive. I like this melodic version of Lynch Mob second album.

Robert Mason is one of the best vocalists in rock today. George Lynch is a guitar god. ANY QUESTIONS?? This is what rock is supposed to sound like.

Straight forward rock featuring three members of the classic DOKKEN lineup — George Lynch (guitar), Jeff Pilson (bass) and Mick Brown (drums) — along with former LYNCH MOB and current WARRANT singer Robert Mason.
