They’ve always been a 5 at best. A lot of there music is the same formula. This album is no surprise to me.
  • Another great album!

Chevelle has always been one of my favorite bands and I was not disappointed with this album when it came out. I mean, I honestly can’t think of any album that Chevelle has made that I didn’t like.

Chevelle has always been the most innovative rock band in the world and in history! These guys have so many enlightened ascended artistic ideas that even their bsides beat other people’s a-side! They have inspired a whole generation and the next to do more with their lives! They have changed the whole soundscape of Rock culture!! These guys have so many crazy insane ideas and are not afraid to experiment and create and discover new thing! There has never been and never will be a greater Rock band!!

Without a doubt Chevelle is and will continue to be my favorite band. Though nothing on this album is really new, it feels like a breath of fresh air. It follows Chevelle’s tried and true formula of 50% face melting rock and 50% feely feels that make you want to eat a carton of hagendaz ice-cream, which both adds up to a very diverse, yet quality album. This is a collection of songs spanning the entire career of the band which makes it great as you can hear them grow and change with each song. It is also great for Chevelle junkies like me, as I no longer have to rip the songs off of YouTube and can now get a quality copy of them. “Until Your Reformed” Has been and likely always will be my favorite Chevelle song, so I was pretty excited to see it brought to the forefront and not hidden away on the deluxe copy of wonder what’s next. I would say that it is a definite highlight on the album, as well as Sleep walking Elite, Glimpse of the Con, and Leto’s Headache. If you were to purchase this album as well as Point #1 you would have an excellent “I’m a Chevelle connoisseur, and the red wasn’t that great” starter pack, but now with extra snobbery. In closing I would recommend that you buy this album, the whole thing, and then block off a space on your calendar and just listen to it. Even if you have to choose between buying this album or paying a bill, do it, and then listen to it in the dark. Chevelle is an extremely underrated band, despite how popular they are, with talent to waste, and this album is a great sampling of their work. Pro Tip; Buy “Envy” From the album “Hats off to the Bull” as well.

Like most I started listening to Chevelle after their release of the song The Red. Grabbed a song here and there, but never fully invested myself into them. My number one band was this other group, lets just call them something smack. Then I went to see Chevelle once. Then twice then three......etc. Each album they release gets better. While I would love some new music, this B side album is killer and shows how much depth they have. These types of releases are usually put out to fulfill a contract and while this may be the case for this one it is still awesome.
