  • Long live John Williams 👑

Of all 9 episodes of the Star Wars Skywalker Saga John Williams has composed, Revenge of the Sith is my all time favorite (followed by Return of the Jedi, The Rise of Skywalker, The Empire Strikes Back, The Force Awakens, A New Hope, The Last Jedi, Attack of the Clones, The Phantom Menace). Anakin vs. Obi-Wan is my all time favorite song John Williams EVER composed for a film. Since the deaths of Akira Ifukube (who scored 12 films in the Godzilla franchise between 1954-1995, and Ifukube & Williams became rivals from 1965-1995) and Frank Sinatra (he scored Sinatra’s film None But the Brave in 1965), John Williams is now the king of music. Like my love for the game show The Price Is Right died when its former host Bob Barker died in August 2023, my love of all film scores will die when John Williams dies (and Spielberg knows it) because NO modern composer holds a candle to the 5-time Oscar winner
