  • Too many great lyrics for a be album! It’s just not fair to other bands

After more time with this one I’ve really come around and freakin love this album. It’s not like anything they’ve done before. They’re not a one-trick pony. A lot of nuance to enjoy here. Put away your expectations and try something different.
  • It really grows on you!

When I first listened to this coming off of AM, I absolutely hated it. “This isn’t at all what I was looking for!” But then I listened to it again, and again, and again, and goddamn is this album intoxicating! Easily my favorite experience as an album. Not great for just throwing on a random song, but if you sit down to listen to this album in its entirety, and just think and appreciate it with an open mind, I think you’ll come to love it as I have.
  • This is not the rock album you’re looking for...

    By tooloot
I’ll admit, I hated it at first, loungey cheesy elevator music....But...I grew to love it ! Its pretty amazing what a they pulled off. The music is mesmerizing, it totally hooked me, its haunting in a definitely need to be in another state of mind to get it & appreciate it.
  • It’s really good

    By Gorillaz_fan12345
The album is really good, it one of my favorite albums from them. The music is calming and catchy.
  • Great album. Not sure where the hate is coming from.

    By Sophi75
Is it different? Sure. Is it crazy? Sure. But it’s also a super cool mellow album that you can enjoy.
  • Lack of direction

    By BollyBibby
I’m all for experimentation, but this has no direction or melody. All of their previous albums have had some sort of narrative to them, but not this. I have no clue what Alex is talking about at any point of this album. The melodies are nonexistent. I’m baffled.
  • Big Letdown

    By Carteralang
A huge disappointment after the previous album. No song fully hits it’s stride or climaxes. Each song feels like it is stuck in first gear. There are a few good rhythms and riffs but they are few and not strong enough to carry the songs.
  • Album of the Year

    By Ad-monishment
Alex Turner creates a vast and mesmerizing virtual dream in this space-themed, phantasmic rock-opera of a concept album. To all the idiots with no imagination and a raging hard-on for “those pop guitar licks” and who share the sentiment of “why my song no catchy no more?”, go appreciate imagine dragons you useless buffoons. This album is GOLD-PLATED SPACE SEX.
  • Did not live up to the hype

    By yunksboi
As a long time arctic monkeys fan I have become disappointed in the complete 180 turn to their style of music. They have lost their favorite worst nightmare touch and moved onto space music!
  • 5 out of 5
